Our Story

A hand holding printed phone cases above rows of patterned case samples.

The beginning

Okay, real talk. This started because I spent $69.99 on a phone case that I thought looked pretty legit, and it started peeling and fading before the month was even over. Like, genuinely embarrassing looking. I remember just staring at it thinking, I have a degree from RISD and I'm carrying this thing around.

So, competitive streak kicked in. Fine. I'll make my own.

The first attempts

Close, but not quite.

Honestly the first attempt was a mess. We tried working with a few factories in China first, because that's just what everyone tells you to do. Cheaper, more options, whatever. But we were emailing back and forth for weeks over stuff that should've taken a five-minute conversation, waiting days for replies, getting samples that were close but not quite what we asked for. At some point we just looked at each other like, we have design degrees, we know exactly what we want, why is this so hard.

Made in the USA

Closer to the process.

So we found a manufacturer in the US instead, drove out, sat down with them. UV printing, high-temp molding, the whole process, we learned it hands-on instead of over email. Being there means we catch a bad batch before it ships, not after a customer emails us about it.

Turns out being that close to the line actually costs less, not more. No overseas shipping, no chain of middlemen, no guessing games. So yeah, you can get a phone case made in the US, done right, for less than what you'd pay for one that fades in a month. Funny how that works out.
