Find Your Phone Model

The quickest way to choose an iPhone case is to check the model name on your phone. Match the full name to the option on the product page, including words such as Plus, Pro, Pro Max, or Air.

Find the model name in Settings

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Choose General, then About.
  3. Read Model Name and keep the complete name handy while you shop.

Use Model Name rather than the personal name you may have given your phone. Apple lists both on the About screen in its guide to finding information about your iPhone.

Still unsure? Check the model number

On the same About screen, tap the value beside Model Number to reveal the model number. Apple explains this step in Find the model number of your iPhone. You can then match that number using Apple's Identify your iPhone model list.

If you cannot open Settings, the same Apple support article explains other places to find the model number. Use the method that applies to your device.

Match the case to the exact model

Choose the product option that matches your phone's full model name. Similar names or screen sizes do not establish case compatibility. Check the listing's stated fit instead of assuming that two generations or a standard and Pro model use the same case.

When comparing listings, read the selected model as well as the title and photos. Camera openings, button access, and the case's stated fit should all match the model you are ordering for.

Buying a case as a gift?

Ask the recipient for their exact Model Name before ordering. If a listed option is unclear or your model is missing, email info@casepoppy.com with the model name and the product link. You do not need to send a serial number or IMEI to ask about a case.

Once you know the model, compare the design and print choices or browse phone cases. For a case with your own photo, read the Photo Upload Guide.
